North Wind = No Water

A big front is coming down Saturday morning.  I wouldn’t mention it except that I really need to get out of my old slip and back out on the hook.  However, in order to do that the water in the marina has to be deep enough for me to float and not drag my keel through the mud.

So, as soon as I finish my soft boiled eggs and coffee this morning I am going to fill my water tanks, undo the shore power cord, and head out to Red Fish Island.  We may have a high temperature of 80!  Too bad it’s dropping to 50 tomorrow.  Mexico really sounds good.

Five weeks of motoring in the ditch, or 5 – 8  days sailing and motoring across the Gulf?
