I am still at the old marina after surviving the Cajun New Years. We got home Friday night and have been pulling everything back together for another departure in the next day or two. Saturday had me pouring over all the fuel line fittings trying to determine where it might be sucking air into the fuel. I didn’t have much luck until I pressurized the whole line using an electric fuel pump. That allowed me to sit and wait for the drip to begin. Sure enough, I found it and will be pulling the old manual lift pump off today to replace or rebuild it.
Sunday had me running all over creation with the crew of SOEL who just sold their car and are about to leave the dock behind. We took advantage of it while we could to go provision, stock up on books, and ditch a few things at the old resell shop. If I can get this little pump knocked out today, do laundry, and fill the water tanks back up I’ll be ready to head back out. If a front looks good I’ll go offshore, but it’s looking more and more like a ditch run.
Oh yeah, on a random side note, I just bought a pair of hair clippers. What do you think, Mohawk or buzz cut?
