These people talk funny.  Sometimes they go back and forth between what they call French and English, but I often can’t tell they made any switch at all.  I swear most the words they are using are simply made up. The great part is they all cook and eat throughout the entire day.  I went to bed so painfully full last night of boudin sausage, stuffed chicken, homemade fudge and other assorted delicacies I could hardly lay down.  We are all sitting around drinking coffee this morning about to launch full bore into breakfast making.  Someone mentioned homemade biscuits that, along with tonight New Years Gumbo, are the highlights of the feasting.

Supplies have been brought from afar for this evening’s festivities.  The primary goal for tonight, “blowing some shit up”.  I can’t wait.  Happy New Year everyone…Cajun style.
