That means I don’t like.  I am referring to the weather here.  This front is no good.  It’s too strong to begin with which also means it’s going to blow itself out before I could make it to Campeche.  If we assume for a moment that I did leave Thursday morning, that’s when the 15 foot seas will start to subside, I’d have two days of pretty good sailing with 20 – 30 knot (that’s still a lot of wind) winds out of the NW that slowly clock around to the NE and E.  Unfortunately, by Saturday the winds are supposed to start blowing from the SE which means I’d be beating into the wind for  the last two or three days.  It’s just not a good window.

I’ve forced a lot of things to get where I am .  It was the only way to keep the momentum for the project going.  The nice part is I am over that hump and the trip has momentum of its own.  I have no control over the weather widow and choosing the time for my crossing is something I need to let happen and not try and force.  If I force it, I will choose poorly and hate the crossing.  If I wait for my window, it will be a beautiful trip.

Looks like I’ll be hanging about until next week as no new fronts are predicted for at least 5 days after this big one on Tues/Wed.  I may take this weekend to go for a two or three day trip.  Call it another shake out.  I am anxious to get off the dock, but I am back into project mode until Thursday at least.
